There is good fishing in the many mountain rivers and the lakes of the Slieve Bloom area. Contact;

Game Angling
The large sister rivers –the Nore and Barrow - rise in the Slieve Bloom mountains, have trout and salmon, while many of their tributaries e.g. the Whitehorse, Delour and Camcor offer very good trout fishing.

Course Angling
Ballaghmore Lake contains excellent carp, rudd, perch, pike and eel.

Ballyfin Lake contains pike, tench and rudd.

Brittas Lake (near Clonaslee) - a man-made lake with picnic area and nature walk. Recently stocked with trout.
